When One Door Closes, Another Two Open
So earlier this week I got a call from an editor at a local newspaper that I’ve been contributing to for the past year and a half. He wanted to know if I was still taking assignments this semester or if I was to busy with school and what not. Between school, work and homework, there’s no way that I could take on any assignments and stay on top of everything else that I do. So I had to call him up and tell him that I think that my time at the paper has run it’s course because honestly regardless of how busy I am, I was ready to move on to other things anyways.
Not even twenty four hours later, I get a call from one of my friends asking me to start writing for an online publication that he’s starting up and THEN I get an e-mail from an editor that I met through the Portfolio Centers ‘Show Offs’ asking me to write a feature for their magazine. So of course I’m not going to turn something like that down.
I’m really excited but at the same time I have no idea where to begin or how I’m going to stay on top of everything else I do for that matter. I guess I’ll just have to figure it out.
